Please take a moment to meet this week’s City Face Meggan Paulsen:
How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Meggan moved to Bridgeport in January of 1999.
Where are you originally from? Meggan grew up in Weston. She is a 1995 Lewis County High School graduate. She obtained her Computer Information Science degree from West Virginia Wesleyan in 1999 and her Masters in Software Engineering from WVU in 2001.
Are you married? Yes, to Paul Paulsen. Paul is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He and Meggan met at West Virginia Wesleyan College. They were married in 1998 at the West Virginia Wesleyan Chapel.
Children? Meggan and Paul have three boys. Nathan, 13, is in seventh grade and Aidan, 11, is in sixth grade at BMS. Both boys play football, baseball and basketball. Both boys are WV Little League State Champions. Liam, 5, is in preschool at Bridgeport United Methodist Church. He plays T-ball and soccer.
What is your favorite color? Red
Where do you work? Meggan is a senior quality engineer for ManTech.
Favorite Bridgeport spot? Bridgeport Recreation Complex because it’s a great place to watch her boys play sports.
Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Stonewall Jackson Lake because she enjoys boating and picnics with the family.
Favorite place outside of WV? Las Vegas is her favorite because there is so much to do and has great weather.
Favorite restaurant? El Ray
Best childhood memory? Playing in the creek at her grandparent’s house in Weston is a fond memory.
Pets? The family has two dogs – an English Bulldog named Maggie and a rescue Lab mix named Bear.
Hobbies? Keeping up with her three sons activities
Interesting fact about you? Meggan used to ride and show horses and frequently at the Philippi Fairgrounds.
