City Faces in Different Places

Please take a moment to get to know this week's City Face, Chris Blythe:
 
How long have you lived in Bridgeport?Chris moved to Bridgeport in 2005.
 
Where are you originally from? Chris is originally from Aspinwall, Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh. 
 
Are you married? Yes, to Monica Blythe- Monica is from the Bronx, New York.  They were married on August 13, 1994 in Waco, Texas.
 
Children?  Chris and Monica have two children.  Savannah, 17, is a senior at Bridgeport High School.  She runs cross country and track, participates in Younglife and is a buddy with the Challenger League.  Tyler, 13, is in seventh grade at BMS.  He also runs cross country and track, and is a buddy with the Challenger League.  He plays Bridgeport Jerry West Basketball.
 
What is your favorite color? Yellow
 
Where do you work? Chris is the sales manager at Kohls.  He has been with Kohls for fifteen years and at the Clarksburg location for ten years.
 
Favorite Bridgeport spot? City Park is Chris’ favorite spot.  He likes the atmosphere and sense of community you find anytime you are at the park.  He likes meeting and talking with people and watching his kids play sports.
 
Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport?  Morgantown is his favorite because it reminds him of Pittsburgh in that it has many things to do, the Mountaineers and great food selections.
 
Favorite place outside of WV? Chris visited northwest Arkansas and immediately fell in love with the area.  He said it has the feel of West Virginia and western Pennsylvania with rolling hills and lakes; it’s very beautiful.
 
Favorite restaurant? Primanti Brothers (especially the original in Pittsburgh) – the Pittsburgher is his favorite sandwich.
 
Best childhood memory?  Chris remembers getting together with the neighborhood kids playing baseball and football and also playing in the creek by their house.
 
Favorite musical group?  Led Zeppelin, Kashmir is his favorite song
 
Pets? A Black Lab named Bella and a Red-Eared Slider turtle named Wipey
 
Hobbies? Golfing and supporting his children’s activities and sports
 
Interesting fact about you?  Chris has lived in several states – he lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for nineteen years; Waco, Texas for fourteen years; Arkansas for three years and West Virginia for almost twelve years.
