City Faces in Different Places

Please take a moment to meet this week's City Face Janet Hathaway:
 
How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Forty-eight years, she moved here when she was four.  She is a 1980 BHS graduate.
 
Where are you originally from?  Janet is originally from Wheeling. 
 
Are you married? Yes, to Jeff Hathaway.  They were married in 1982 at Simpson Creek Baptist Church.  Jeff is a 1979 BHS graduate.  He is the wrestling coach for BMS and the freshman football coach for BHS.
 
Children? Janet and Jeff have three children.  BR, 30, is a 2004 BHS graduate.  He is an assessor for Harrison County and an assistant coach for BHS freshman football.  Natalie, 25, is a 2009 BHS graduate.  She is a math teacher at BHS and cheerleading coach for BMS. Brett, 21, is a Fairmont State University student studying to be a physical education teacher with a certification in K-12.  Brett is an assistant wrestling coach for BMS and a volunteer coach for BHS football.
 
What is your favorite color? Red
 
Where do you work? Janet has been a secretary/accountant for Bridgeport Middle School for almost ten years.
 
Favorite Bridgeport spot? Her home because she enjoys the time spent with family and friends.
 
Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Canaan Valley is her favorite spot in WV.  She appreciates its natural beauty and peaceful environment.
 
Favorite place outside of WV? Janet likes to visit Daytona Beach because it offers many good restaurants, shopping and things to do as a family.
 
Favorite restaurant? The Vintage in Elkins
 
Best childhood memory? Times spent with the family around holidays such as Christmas, Easter and Birthdays are cherished time for Janet.
 
Favorite musical group? She listens to many different genres of music; however, country is most popular in her household.
 
Pets? Pond fish
 
Hobbies? Attending Bridgeport sporting events, coaching, crocheting and scrapbooking
 
Interesting fact about you?  All three of Janet’s children were awarded the PROMISE Scholarship.   She also is a hairstylist and attended the Clarksburg Beauty Academy.
