City Faces in Different Places

By Michelle Duez on March 20, 2016 from City Faces

Please take a moment to meet this week’s City Face Kathy Younglove

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Eight years

Where are you originally from? Battle Creek, Michigan

Are you married? No

Children? Yes, she has three children.  Nathaniel, lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  He is married to Lindsay Rome, a Robert C. Byrd graduate.  They have a daughter Kelsee, sixteen.  Katrina, is married to Tanner Hill.  She is assistant principal at WI Middle School and Tanner is a teacher at WIMS.  They have two children- Gabriella, eight, and Garrett, seven.  Brieana is married to Mark Mascarello and lives in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

What is your favorite color? Green

Where do you work? Kathy is a supervisor host at Oliverio’s Ristorante.

Favorite Bridgeport spot? Almost Heaven Desserts and Coffee Shop where she goes to have her morning coffee.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport?  Cooper’s Rock State Park and Canaan Valley are her two favorites in the state.  She appreciates their scenic beauty.  She also feels that just driving through Bridgeport and local areas it often reminds her of a postcard at all times of the year.  She grew up in the flat land of Michigan and she loves the beauty of the hills.

Favorite place outside of WV? Deep Creek Lake, Maryland reminds her of the Great Lakes in Michigan.  It gives her a taste of her home without having to venture too far to visit.

Favorite restaurant?  Oliverio’s Ristorante

Best childhood memory?  Kathy loved to organize all the neighborhood kids and put on shows in her back yard. They would hang a couple sheets on the the clothes line for a curtain and sell tickets to all the neighbors who thankfully would patiently sit through the shows. Her mother likes to tell people she came out of the womb directing people.

Favorite musical group?  She has eclectic taste in music… from Jazz, to classical and country, to a touch of rock and roll.

Hobbies? Kathy enjoys the arts.

Interesting fact about you?  Kathy taught children’s theater for twenty-five years.  She was the operator of the locally known Younglove Productions.
