City Faces in Different Places

By Michelle Duez on April 03, 2016 from City Faces

Please take a moment to meet this week’s City Face John Minnocci:

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? John moved to Bridgeport in 2010.

Where are you originally from?  North View, Clarksburg; John is a 1989 Liberty graduate. He graduated from Fairmont State University with his degree in Elementary Education in 1995.

Are you married? Yes, to Julie.  She is originally from Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.  They were married at St. James Church in Clarksburg in 2006.

Children? John and Julie have twin six-year old boys Dominico and Jovanni.  They are in first grade at Johnson Elementary School.  They enjoy playing baseball, basketball and soccer.  They are members of Cub Scout Pack #39.

What is your favorite color? Blue

Favorite Bridgeport spot? City Park because of all the activities their family enjoys at the park.  C-ball, soccer and basketball often bring their family to the park.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport?  Morgantown’s Coliseum and Mountaineer Field are two of this favorites but he also appreciates the South Branch of the Potomac River.  He used to camp every Memorial Day weekend there with friends.

Favorite place outside of WV? PNC Park in Pittsburgh and Myrtle Beach

Favorite restaurant?  John and his family enjoy many local restaurants, particularly The Parkette, The Wonder Bar, Las Trancas and Shogun.  He also likes to go to Muriales.  He and Julie had their first date there too.

Best childhood memory?  Attending Pirates games with his parents created great memories for John.  Now he takes his boys to games creating new memories but is always reminded of the good times he had with his parents.  John lost his father five years ago making these new memories even more special to him.

Favorite musical group?  John listens to anything but country.

Pets? Two cats named Sybil and Prince

Hobbies? When John isn’t busy coaching or cheering on his sons, he likes to workout, run, go fishing and follow sports.

Interesting fact about you?  John said, “I’m probably one of the only Italians that doesn’t like sauce on his spaghetti.”
