Please take a moment to meet this week’s City Face Emily Meade:
How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Five years
Where are you originally from? Emily is originally from Austin, Texas.
Family? Emily is the daughter of Elizabeth Allen Meade. Elizabeth is a 1994 graduate of WIHS. Her father, Alex Meade, lives in Texas. Sebastian, her brother, is a sophomore at BHS. He plays football and baseball for BHS.
What is your favorite color? Red
Where do you work? Emily is an eighth grader at Bridgeport Middle School. She is on the BMS Track and Field team.
Favorite Bridgeport spot? Emily loves the track at BHS. She likes to practice and work on her skills. She often competes in 100 and 200 m dashes, high jump, and long jump.
Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Her family has a cabin in Bruceton Mills. She enjoys getting away and spending time with her family in the country.
Favorite place outside of WV? Austin, Texas has many things to do and a great appeal to Emily. She appreciates all the great restaurants when she visits, especially Mexican.
Favorite restaurant? Outback
Best childhood memory? Emily fondly remembers visiting West Virginia and riding four-wheelers with her brother at their cabin when they would visit for holidays.
Favorite musical group? Country music is her favorite and she likes Thomas Rhett is her favorite musician.
Pets? Four dogs Murray, Mack, Molly and Mo and one cat named Annabell.
Hobbies? Track and field and art
Interesting fact about you? At the Connect-Bridgeport meet in March at BHS, Emily was first in the 100 meter dash. This moment really defined what she wanted to do moving forward for activities in the future and proved to herself she could compete on a high level.
