City Faces in Different Places

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? Three years 
Where are you originally from? Christy is from Van, West Virginia in Boone County. She is a 1994 Van High School graduate. She also obtained her Bachelor’s in Science from WVU in Dental Hygiene.
Are you married? Yes, to Matt Shaffer. Matt grew up in Shinnston and is a 1995 Lincoln High School graduate. He works at Dominion as an engineer. The couple was married at Simpson Creek Baptist Church in June of 2013.
Children? Christy and Matt have two girls. Maggie Holstein will be a seventh grader at BMS. She is a member of the BMS danceline team. Maddie Shaffer, will be in sixth grade at BMS.
What is your favorite color? Blue and gold are her favorite colors since they represent West Virginia. She also loves orange.
Where do you work? She is a dental hygienist at Wilson Martino Dental.
Favorite Bridgeport spot? Christy prefers the comforts of her home.
Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Relaxing at Summersville Lake with family is a favorite pastime and destination for Christy.
Favorite place outside of WV? The Christmas Inn at Pigeon Forge never disappoints and is a long-time favorite.
Favorite restaurant? Mountaineer Grille for its fresh food and diverse menu.
Best childhood memory? Baking and cooking with her mom and sister for Christmas and spending the night at her grandmother's house are precious memories for Christy.
Favorite musical group? Christian Contemporary is where you find her radio dial. She had the opportunity to sing with Third Day last year and enjoys listening to the group.
Pets? None
Hobbies? Cooking, baking and keeping up with her children’s activities
Interesting fact about you? Christy feels she was put on this Earth to help others. She truly enjoys giving back and has a generous spirit. She has a very strong faith in God.
