Editor's Note: It is not unusual for a Bridgeport High School or other local student to compete on a national stage. It is a much rarer occasion that once they get there they are in the running for a national award. Such was the case with Morgan Sprouse and her participation in Poetry Out Loud even that took her to a national event where she was one of nine finalists across the United States. Although not winning, to get that far is worth recognition. This story ran May 12 on Connect-Bridgeport.
