FOP State Conference Begins this Week in Bridgeport

Local Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Mountaineer Lodge #78 is the host lodge for the 51st Biennial State Conference. The Bridgeport Conference Center and Wingate Hotel will be the event venue.
Delegates and Guests from across West Virginia will gather Sunday through Wednesday this coming week, June 9 through June 12, to experience our local hospitality. The Fraternal Order of Police is a National Law Enforcement origination committed to the advancement of its membership.
Harrison County Sheriff Robert Matheny is the Conference Committee Chairman and has expressed his gratitude for those who have made this event possible.
“Brother Rick Barnhart, who passed away earlier this year, was co-chairman of the conference, as well as the West Virginia State 2nd Vice President, and life-time local lodge member and he will be missed during the event," said Matheny
Opening ceremonies begin Monday, June 10 at 9 a.m. at the Bridgeport Conference Center. The colors will be posted by the Clarksburg Police Honor Guard, Melissa Matheny will perform the National Anthem, local officials will make welcome remarks prior to the State Lodge President,and Darren McNeil will call the conference meeting to order.
