It's Happening: Keep the Boots Walking 2015

In January of 2013, I wrote a blog as a loving tribute to Kurt Louis Myers on the occasion of what would have been his 16th birthday. His family and friends were honoring Kurt and his passion for fishing, riding and all things outdoors by sporting boots - which Kurt wore with everything; from his jeans to his pajama pants. The intent of "Keep the Boots Walking" was to remember Kurt and to encourage young people to make careful decisions - decisions that can be lifesaving. If you're a kid, don't drink. If you run across someone who has had too much, please get him or her help. Sept. 16 marked the three-year anniversary of the very unexpected death of our good friend. I ask you to remember him and to please always keep the boots walking in your life and heart. My deepest wishes of comfort and prayers for uplifting go out to all of Kurt's family and friends.
