The Bridgeport High School baseball team improved to 31-4 following a 2-0 victory against Williamstown on Thursday.
Three BHS pitchers combined for a four-hit shutout. Connor Blake picked up the win, allowing two hits over four innings with no walks and six strikeouts. Carson Currey pitched two strong innings of relief, allowing two hits and one walk with three strikeouts. Justin Duvall closed the door, earning a save with a perfect seventh inning that saw him strike out all three batters he faced.
The Indians only had two hits off six different Williamstown pitchers. Zach Rohrig had a double, Michael Romano had an RBI single. Ashton Curry also drove in a run, while Grant Lively and Rowen Michaelis each scored a run.
The Indians will now turn their attention to the Class AAA Region I championship series wihich begins on Monday at BHS with the Tribe facing Morgantown.
