Photos: BMS Student-Athletes Recognized by Council

It was perhaps the largest crowd in years inside the City Council Chambers at the Bridgeport Municipal Complex. The good news is that it wasn't filled with angry residents.
The gathering Monday evening was by proud parents, family and friends of student-athletes at Bridgeport Middle School. The Council presented proclamations to the Braves cheerleading squad, the boys cross country team and football squad.
All three teams won championships this past year. Mayor Andy Lang presented proclamations to the cheerleaders and football players, while Council member Jeff Smell presented a proclamation to the runners.
