State Police Confirm Death in Local Vehicle Accident

FROM THE WEST VIRGINIA STATE POLICE
On Sunday, July 30th at 3:45 pm, Trooper A. J. Trupo was dispatched to a two vehicle collision on County Rout 3 in Mannington, WV. The vehicle driven by Derick Storm Stevens, 28 of Mannington, WV went left of center and struck the second vehicle head on.
Stevens died while on scene from injuries sustained in the crash. Two juveniles passengers in Stevens’ vehicle were transported to United Hospital Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, Shelby Beveridge and her juvenile son were also transported to United Hospital Center with non-life-threatening injuries. This fatal crash was reconstructed by Senior Trooper D. V. Bickerstaff and Senior Trooper T. P. Nicholson.
The status of this investigation is active and ongoing.
