Structure Fire in Area Leaves Residential Unit Leveled

Multiple first responders were on the scene of a structure fire in Lewis County that left a residential structure as a total loss in the Jane Lew area Tuesday evening.
Led by the Jane Lew Fire Department, crews were called out Tuesday, August 20, just past 9 p.m. for the fire south of the community and, upon arrival, crews found the buildng fully engulfed. The structure was located on Route 19, according to officials.
It took several hours to put the fire out. No cause has been listed, but there were no injuries reported.
Along with the Jane Lew Fire Department, several other units responded, including the Lost Creek Volunteer Fire Department from Harrison County. Other units to assist include the Pricetown Volunteer Fire Department, Weston Fire Department, and the Jacksons Mill Volunteer Fire Department.
All units showed up as part of mutual aid agreements.
