UHC Welcomes Dr. Tooba Ayub to Bridgeport Endocrinology

Tooba Ayub, MD, joins Bridgeport Endocrinology, the practice of Apoorva Iyer, MD and Jennifer S. Turner, MD. She comes to the practice having finished her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Her educational journey began with a medical degree from King Edward Medical University, Lahore, Pakistan, going on to Loyola Medicine MacNeal Hospital, Berwyn, Ill., for her internal medicine residency. She completed her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Dr. Ayub has contributed to many professional publications as well as being involved in teaching and mentorship, both at conferences and for medical students, primarily in the field of diabetes.
Included in her accomplishments are healthcare outreach and education lead for Loyola MacNeal Hospital and resident wellness events coordinator, also at Loyola MacNeal Hospital.
She is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. Her expertise focuses on hormone-related conditions and metabolic disorders that affect how the body processes nutrients and maintains healthy bone structure.
Dr. Ayub is a member of the American Society of Clinical Endocrinology, the Endocrine Society and the American Medical Association. When she's not practicing medicine, Dr. Ayub enjoys traveling, cooking and building new friendships.
