WVU Police Issue Campus Warning after Burglaries

West Virginia University Police issued a Campus Warning on Tuesday (Oct. 14) following reports of burglaries at 692 North High St. and 216 Belmar Ave. near the Downtown area of campus.
Residents of both addresses reported multiple items being stolen from various rooms in the early morning hours of Oct. 11 and Oct. 12, respectively. The reports came hours after the alleged crimes, and there are indications the buildings were accessed through unsecured doors or windows.
Three suspects have been identified by UPD as part of ongoing investigations.

WVU Police officers encourage residents in the area to perform routine checks of their homes to ensure all windows, doors and other possible points of entry are secured properly and to report any suspicious behavior immediately.
