City Parks of Clarksburg Announces its First Summer Concert of 2025 Season Featuring Yacht Rock Revue

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on January 28, 2025

City Parks of Clarksburg has announced the first piece of its Summer 2025 lineups at the Clarksburg Amphitheatre in a press release.

Yacht Rock Revue will be coming to the venue on Friday, Sept. 19.  It is part of this year’s Yacht Rock Forever Tour that is headlining amphitheaters and iconic theaters across the United States. The event is “An Evening with Yacht Rock Revue.”

Yacht Rock Revue, hailed by Rolling Stone as the “world’s premier soft-rock party band,” invites listeners on a nostalgic voyage through the sun-soaked melodies of the ‘70s and ‘80s. Based in Atlanta, GA, this dynamic ensemble blends impeccable musicianship with a deep reverence for the yacht rock genre. Sarah Bahr of The New York Times reported her firsthand experience of the band’s liberating energy, observing fans who “danced for two hours to tunes from the 1970s and ’80s,” while Entertainment Weekly noted that “the shows tend to be unabashedly joyous affairs.”

Since their humble beginnings in 2007, Yacht Rock Revue has emerged as a pivotal figure in revitalizing yacht rock, sharing stages with icons and garnering a devoted following of “Anchorheads.” Whether performing in intimate venues or rocking arenas, their concerts promise an immersive musical journey that celebrates the timeless allure of smooth grooves.

“We are very fortunate to get a caliber group like this to come to the area,” said Doug Comer, Superintendent of City Parks. “They have been on our radar since the PBS concert special, and after watching the HBO documentary on Yacht Rock, we knew that they would bring a packed audience to the Amp.”
Ticket Information: Tickets for Yacht Rock Revue September 19th performance will be available in three pricing tiers:
  • $44 for Premium Seating
  • $36 for Reserved Seating
  • $25 for General Admission
Special pricing will also be available for aisle seating. Tickets are expected to go on sale in mid-February through the Clarksburg Amphitheater’s website, www.clarksburgamp.com.
