Fairytale Princess Party Slated for May 18; Favorite Princesses on Hand with Proceeds Benefittng Local Beauty Queen and National Charity

By Trina Runner on May 13, 2019

It’s time to don one’s crown, shine one’s scepter, and walk those glass slippers through the doors at Bridgeport Conference Center.  On May 18, Bridgeport’s Infinity Studios will be hosting a Fairytale Princess Party with a chance to interact with real princesses.

“We encourage attendees to wear their favorite princess dress,” said organizer Carmela Irwin.  “There will be a candy buffet and fruit bar with pink lemonade for those attending the VIP party and the children will get to meet and interact with the princesses.”

Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and others will welcome princesses of all ages, along with Alexis Altenburg, this year’s WV Princess America Teen.  Dedicated to serving others, Altenburg worked with Irwin to design a dream event that will not only help her attend the national competition, but will allow her to donate proceeds to Give Kids the World Foundation, a non-profit resort for kids with life threatening illnesses.

Altenburg, who is a junior at Liberty High School, has served on the Mayor’s Youth Council, volunteered at Genesis Crisis Center and been a buddy for the Bridgeport Challenger League.  She has also volunteered for the Mustard Seed.  In the last year, she started competing in pageants, but wanted to make the focus of her efforts more about service than outward beauty.

In July, she will travel to Florida to compete in the Princess America pageant and visit the Give Kids the World Village, meeting some of the recipients of funds raised at the Fairytale Princess Party.  She hopes to make lifelong friendships and earn scholarships, modeling contracts and traveling opportunities while there as well.

The Fairy Tale Princess Party will include eight princesses along with area title-holders.  There will be professional photographs, storytelling, singing, dancing, face-painting, and games.  The princesses will also be helping attendees create unique keepsake crafts to take home with them.

There will be two VIP sessions on May 18, the first beginning at 10 a.m. and the second beginning at 1 p.m.  For ticket information visit http://infinity-events-and-rentals.ticketleap.com/princess-party or visit  www.infinitystudioseventplanning.com  or look for the event on  Facebook.
