Frankie's Furry Friends: "Adoptable Pet of the Day" Double Feature; Siamese Cat Twins Betty and Wilma

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on November 02, 2018 from Frankie's Furry Friends

Today, the Humane Society of Harrison County has an “Adoptable Pet of the Day” double feature. Meet Siamese cat twins Betty and Wilma. These two sisters are believed to be Blue Seal Point Siamese and are approximately two years old. Both have been spayed, tested negative for FIV/FELV and are up to date on all core vaccines. They came to HSHC from Animal Control after being surrendered by their original owners.

It can be very traumatizing for adult cats that have had their lives upended and find themselves in a loud shelter. When you throw in the fact that they are of the Siamese breed, both – particularly Wilma - are still showing signs of the stress associated. Both continue to improve just a bit every day, but still have some adjusting to do.

At this time, it is our desire to keep the girls together. They would do best in a quiet environment. They seem to do fine with other cats, but are a bit tense around dogs. That may ease as they settle in.

The adoption fee for the pair is $200.

The Humane Society of Harrison County is located on Saltwell Road and is open 10:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. seven days per week. For more information, call 304-592-1600.
