Bridgeport Police Participate in Local Portion of Annual Fallen Heroes Honor Run by U.S. Marshals Service

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on March 13, 2025

On March 7, in the morning hourse, several officers from the Bridgeport Police participated in the 9th annual USMS Fallen Heroes Honor Run hosted by the U.S. Marshals Service of the Northern District of West Virginia.

The run is done to honor all Law Enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

The local event took place in Clarksburg at the FBI CJIS facility. There was also a run, nosted by the Souther District of West Virginia held at the West Virginia Capitol and the Robert C. Byrd Federal Courthouse.

This nationwide event honors the brave law enforcement officers across the country who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The U.S. Marshals Service Fallen Heroes Honor Run is intentionally challenging and allows participants to reflect on the fallen heroes who were taken far too soon. Participants are encouraged to run in their tactical vest with plates.

The U.S. Marshals Service Fallen Heroes Honor Run is designed to bring communities together and offer time to reflect on the sacrifices of those who gave their all for the safety and wellbeing of others. All U.S. Marshals Service district and Headquarters personnel, judicial family, law enforcement partners, and the broader community are invited to participate and honor the fallen.

Editor's Note: Officers shown are, from left, Issac Thomas, Austen Zorick, Brett Stewart , Bobby Gregor, Justin Manson, Jason Carey, and Connor Ryan. Photo courtesy of the Bridgeport Police Department.
