Clarksburg Police Department Sergeant Justin Moore Presented with Prestigious Meritorious Service Award

On January 26, 2025, an explosion occurred on Kramer Drive in Clarksburg, just off of Chestunt Street, which took the life of the occupant and completely leveled the house.
During the course of the ensuing investigation, a coordinated effort was conducted by numerous officers of the Clarksburg Police Department, Harrison County Sheriff's Department, Clarksburg Fire, Harrison County EMS, Clarksburg Public Works, Clarksburg Water Board and Dominion Hope Energy, among others. Sergeant Moore's presence and management of the initial response helped ensure the scene was secure, that nearby residents were evacuated from their residences and that no further loss of life or damage to property occurred.
Sergeant Moore remained on scene for an extended period of time, exhibiting professional excellence in the performance of his duties which contributed to the mission of the Clarksburg Police Department.
