Message from Bridgeport Police Chief John Walker on Department Status Relating to Coronavirus Pandemic

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on March 19, 2020

FROM THE BRIDGEPORT POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Bridgeport Police Department and City of Bridgeport Administration have been working together daily to ensure the safety of our residents and our employees during this pandemic event.  Officers will follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended guidelines for law enforcement officers.

Anyone wanting to report a crime or emergency should call 911.  If you need to speak to a Bridgeport Police officer, you should call 304-842-8260 or 304-623-6559.

We will continue to respond to all calls for service in an expedient and professional manner during this event.  Nothing has changed in how we patrol Bridgeport.  We are going to be providing the services we were providing before the virus happened. Depending on the type of call officers may be seen wearing personal protective equipment.  Please take care of yourself and your neighbor.
