New year, new reading challenge! It’s time to chase those winter blues away because the Bridgeport Public Library is excited to announce that January 6 was the start of our new Winter Reading Challenge, “Gather 'Round the Fireplace!”
Registration is open now on our website, bplwv.beanstack.org, or on the Beanstack Tracker mobile app. This challenge will run through 
February 28 and is for all ages.

Need help getting started with Beanstack so you can take advantage of this challenge? We’ve got you covered! To register on Beanstack, visit our website, bplwv.beanstack.org, or use the Beanstack Tracker Mobile App available on the App Store or Google Play Store. Search for the Bridgeport Public Library, then create an account. Once registered, you will see all our active challenges on the home page. Click on “Winter Reading 2025: ‘Gather Round the Fireplace” and then click “Join this Challenge.” Once you join, you will receive your first badge just for registering. If you earn 10 badges you will complete the challenge and be entered to win either a $10 Barnes & Noble or $25 Amazon gift card!
Staying indoors doesn't mean you have to lose your sense of community this winter. Instead, gather 'round the fireplace with your library community! Get inspired by ideas about connecting with others, work together to hit the community reading goal of 25,000 minutes during the challenge, attend events at the library, and possibly walk away with a prize! What could be more fun than that? We have a great lineup of programs for all ages in January and February, plus an almost endless supply of books to keep you and your family engaged in reading.
There’s no doubt you can crush this challenge!
