120 Fairmont State Athletes on MEC Winter/Spring 2022 Academic Teams

The Mountain East Conference today released its All-MEC Academic Team and the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the winter and spring sports for the 2021-22 academic year. A total of 120 Fairmont State student-athletes were recognized earlier on Wednesday afternoon.
To be a member of the All-MEC Academic Team, the student-athlete must be a member of the active roster and have a grade-point average of 3.70-4.00 in the semester of their championship season. To qualify for the Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a member of the active roster and post a grade-point average between 3.25-3.69 in the semester of their championship season.
The sports included were acrobatics and tumbling, baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, softball, women's lacrosse and men's wrestling.
A league record 1,306 student-athletes were honored by the MEC for their work in the classroom and performance in competition, including 712 who earned All-MEC Academic Team honors (3.70 or higher) in the sports included.
