Unique Programming for Fall Months Scheduled for The Bridge Including an Interactive Mystery Dinner

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on July 16, 2024

While the majority of the fall programming for the bridge is centered around sports leagues, there are several events focused at youth and one new event.

During a recent meeting of The Bridgeport Advisory Committee, General Manager Droo Callahan presented members with a list of the events scheduled from September through November. Callahan called it the “slower period” at the facility as the summer events wrap up.

One of the events listed, but not yet dated or plans announced, is for an “Interactive Mystery Dinner.” Those events typically draw an adult crowd.

The other events, with time frames not listed, include the following:
  • Basketball – High School Team Challenge
  • After School – After School Programming
  • Youth – Little Trolls
  • Youth – Tiny Trolls Make & Take
  • Card Making – Veterans Day Card Making
  • Volleyball – Fall Recreation League
  • Basketball A – Fall Men’s A League
  • Basketball B – Fall Men’s B League
  • Soccer (small) – Men’s Soccer (small sided)
  • Coed Softball – Softball on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Pickleball Battle – Battle at The Bridge
  • Pickleball Beginner – Beginner’s Classes
  • Basketball 3v3 – 3v3 Showdown – Men’s Halfcourt Tournament
  • Volleyball Pick-up- Coed Volleyball Pickup (Tuesday Nights in November)
  • Wiffleball Tournament – Adult Wiffleball Tournament
Callahan said there are over 50 teams in The Bridge’s various adult league programs. He said facilities in such cities as Pittsburgh have told him they do not have those numbers.  Check with The Bridge for more details and upcoming programming for September, October, and November.
