One of Area's Most Popular Festivals will Make 2021 Return as Buckhannon's Strawberry Festival is On

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on April 30, 2021

According to their Facebook page, the West Virginia Strawberry Festival will return in May after seeing activities halted in 2020 due to concerns stemming from COVID-19.

The festival, which will be in its 79th year, will be back in its familiar location of downtown Buckhannon.

Some events, however, will not take place, including the highly popular parade. The festival carnival will also not be in place, but many other activities will take place, including plenty of live entertainment.

You can visit their Facebook page, "West Virginia Strawberry Festival," for updated information.

The Facebook Page also has an option to message them on that page to answer specific questions.

The Strawberry Festival will run May 13 through May 16.

You can visit the Strawberry Festival's Web site by clicking HERE.

In March, it was announced that the West Virginia Blackberry Festival in Nutter Fort was canceled. The status of several other fairs and festivals have not been revealed.

Editor's Note: Photos shown here were taken from the West Virginia Strawberry Festival Facebook page.
