The Bridgeport Lions Club is offering free vision screenings from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday, September 24, during the West Virginia Walk for Diabetic Wellness taking place at the Bridgeport Recreation Complex near the soccer fields. The Bridgeport Lions Club will be conducting the vision screenings at the concession stand located by the shelter near the soccer fields. Want to learn more about diabetes, how it can be prevented, how it can be treated, as well as support a worthy cause, make plans to attend the West Virginia Walk for Diabetic Wellness from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, at the Bridgeport Recreation Complex near the soccer fields.
Patty Cook, Diabetic Education Director, with United Hospital Center will be present to answer questions as well as hand out literature and diabetic friendly recipes.
Also in attendance will be representatives from Various fitness businesses in the area demonstrating fitness routines and exercises to help keep us all healthy.
