Harrison County Schools to Extend Mask Mandate

In response to updated COVID-19 Protocols released by the West Virginia Department of Education, Harrison County Schools will extend its Universal Mask Policy thirty (30) days through Friday, March 4th, 2022.
The latest version of the Protocol as of the release of this statement, which can be downloaded HERE, outlines the courses of action for schools with and schools without a Universal Mask Policy. Following these guidelines, contact tracing is no longer required for schools with a Universal Mask Policy.
We believe that extending our Universal Mask Policy is the only reasonable course of action to accomplish the district's goal of in-person, 5-days a week instruction while continuing our robust extracurricular activities.
We will re-evaluate the Universal Mask Policy on or before March 4th, and make a further determination based on the guidance from the State of West Virginia at that time.
