Ruby Tuesday at NewPointe Plaza Closes its Doors

According to WDTV, the Ruby Tuesday location in Clarksburg is now permanently closed after a sign was posted on the restaurant’s window.
The sign says, “We have made the unfortunate decision to permanently close our Clarksburg location. We thank you for all your years of patronage, and we will miss you all.”
The letter also asks guests visit them at their next closest location, which is in Morgantown.
In the last six years, the chain has slowly shrunk from over 800 locations to just around 180 locations.
These closures nationwide stem from the chain’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in 2020, as well as intense competition, post-pandemic consumer habits and rising costs.
