The West Virginia University Athletics Marketing Department has released its 2026 football home game promotional schedule for this fall at Milan Puskar Stadium.

 Saturday, Sept. 5 vs. Coastal Carolina (Noon, ET | TNT – TRU TV – HBO MAX) | GET TICKETS

Pat White No. 5 Retirement
The Mountaineers will officially retire Pat White’s No. 5 on Saturday, Sept. 5 against Coastal Carolina, presented by WVU Medicine. White’s legacy is cemented as one of the greatest Mountaineer football players of all time. Exact timing of the recognition on game day will be announced at a later date.

All White for 5
Fans are encouraged to wear white on Sept. 5, for the first time since Pat White’s final home game as a Mountaineer on Dec. 6, 2008. All White for 5 is dedicated to one of the greatest Mountaineer football players in history.

Coca-Cola Family Day
Fans can purchase four tickets and a $25 concession voucher for as low as $150 per Coca-Cola Family Day package. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. and the game is presented by Grant County Mulch.

Gold Rush
The annual Gold Rush game will take place against Oklahoma State in the 2026 Big 12 Conference home opener. The Sept. 26 matchup will be presented by Diversifed Energy. All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear gold to the game.

Saturday, Oct. 10 vs. Arizona | GET TICKETS

Coal Rush
The fan favorite Coal Rush game is set for Oct. 10 against the Wildcats. The Mountaineers will pay homage to the Coal Minining industry and heritage of the Mountain State throughout the game. All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear black to the game.

Big 12 Fall Tour
The Big 12 Conference’s Fall Tour makes a stop in Morgantown on Oct. 9 and 10. This multi-day event will include product sampling, interactive games and exclusive merchandise giveaways, further enhancing the game-day experience across the Big 12 schools. The tour culminates on Saturday at Milan Puskar Stadium with a FREE concert prior to the game. Concert location and details will be released at a later date.

Hall of Fame Weekend
WVU Athletics will enshrine the newest members of the WVU Sports Hall of Fame in a ceremony prior to the game against Arizona, presented by Trident Freight Solutions. The induction ceremony will take place inside the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility and the group will also be recognized inside the stadium during the game.

Homecoming
All alumni and friends are invited to Morgantown on Oct. 17 as the Mountaineers welcome Cincinnati for Homecoming.

Stripe the Stadium
The matchup with the Bearcats, presented by Go Mart, will be the Stripe the Stadium game. Fans sitting in even-numbered sections (Sec. 102, 104, 202, 204, etc.), Diversifed Energy Terrace and all WVU students are encouraged to wear gold to the game. Heroes Day
The 2026 Heroes Day game will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, against Kansas. The Mountaineers will honor and pay tribute to former and active duty military members and organizations throughout the day. The game against the Jayhawks also will round out Mountaineer Week celebrations on campus.

Fans also can directly support our heroes as part of the West Virginia Heroes program, presented by the West Virginia Lottery. You can help provide local Veterans, Active Duty Military, First Responders and their families an opportunity to attend a Mountaineer home game! Fans can sponsor a HERO by donating just $20.
