Bridgeport among Crews Responding to Evening Fire at Sunset Ellis Restaurant; Blaze Under Control

The Bridgeport Fire Department was among multiple first responders called to the scene of a fire at the Sunset Ellis Restaurant on Route 19 near Shinnston.
At 6:33 p.m., the call went out to agencies, according to the Harrison County 911 Media Log. The log also reported that those responding a

The restaurant was not open on Monday. No one was injured.
WDTV reported that they were told by fire personnel on the scene the fire only impacted the restaurant and that the blaze was under control. The site is also home to Harrison County’s only drive-in movie facility.

Along with Bridgeport, the Shinnston, Spelter, Lumberport, Nutter Fort, and Reynoldsville Fire Departments responded. The Harrison County Emergency Squad was also called out, along with the Shinnston Police and Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.
Law enforcement assisted with traffic. Roads were not shut down.
