Order of Names on Ballot for June 10 City Election is Determined during Early Council Meeting Ballot Draw

A special Bridgeport City Council meeting that began at 8:30 a.m. this morning, Tuesday, April 15, had just two items on the agenda with the main item being addressed was the ballot draw for the June 10 municipal election.
 
On the ballot during the election are the position of mayor and three seats on City Council. Now, the order of names for the position of mayor and three seats on Council are official.
 
For mayor, the ballot order will have Robert Matheny listed first and Clayton Rice listed second. For Council, the order is Joe Earley first, Jason Campbell second, Jesse Isner third ,Chris Kinney fourth Jaclyn Rominger fifth, and John Wilson, Sr., sixth.
 
City Recorder Harry M. Hank Murray drew the names. 
 
The other item on the agenda was handled quickly. Council voted to lay the levy for the 2025-26 fiscal year.
