Off the Shelf: December Might be Cold Outside, but Activities Heating up for Month Inside City Library

Bundle up and head to the library this December to check out the programs and events we have going on! We have a variety of events for children, teens, adults, and families happening this month that you don’t want to miss. For a full calendar of events, be sure to visit our website bplwv.org/events. Please note that some events do require registration.
 
We have some exciting offerings for adults this month. On Thursday, December 1st from 5:00-7:00 PM we will be hosting Patricia Harman for an Author Talk on The Midwife of Hope River. On Tuesday, December 13th come see us to make 3D Printed Bookmarks from 4:00-5:00 PM.
 
We’ll be making Evergreen Garlands on Thursday, December 15th from 4:00-5:00 PM and then we will have a Gift Wrapping Station on Monday, December 19th from 5:00-6:30 PM where you can bring your gifts and get some last minute gift wrapping done. On Tuesday, December 20th from 1:00-2:30 PM, join us for a Matinee of Muppet Christmas Carol. Lastly, register for our monthly Sign Language class, Signing Made Easy, on Tuesday, December 20th from 5:00-7:00 PM. This class is appropriate for all ages.
 
We have some equally fun events for children and families! On Friday, December 2nd from 5:00-6:30 join us for a Family Matinee showing of The Polar Express. Snacks and drinks will be provided, and feel free to come in your favorite pajamas. On Friday, December 9th from 3:00-4:00 PM Santa will be at the library! Be sure to stop by and say hello. Photos are permitted. On Wednesday, December 14th stop by the library for some 3D Doodles from 3:00-4:00 PM. The Mountaineer Therapy Dogs will be joining us again on Tuesday, December 27th from 6:00-7:00 PM for Reading to Dogs. Lastly visit us on Wednesday, December 28th from 3:00-4:00 PM for our new Bookwyrm Book Club as we talk about what we've been reading lately. Snacks will be provided.
 
Be sure to check out our booths at Light Up Night on December 1st from 6:00-8:00 PM and at Clarksburg WinterFest on December 3rd from 10:00-6:00 PM. We can’t wait to see you there!
