By Jeff Toquinto on December 13, 2024

For those unable to make it to Charleston Saturday for the Class AAA state championship football game between Bridgeport and Herbert Hoover, there are plenty of options to watch and listen to the ball game.

The contest, like many this postseason, will be shown on the MetroNews.com television app for free. It will also be aired live on SportsNet Pittsburgh, former AT&T Sports and the Root Network. It is channel 792 for Spectrum customers.

You can find the channels on other cable networks by clicking HERE.

Making the call will be Kyle Wiggs and Dave Wilson on the television broadcast.

The contest can also be heard locally on WKMZ 103.3 FM, which is the radio home of the Bridgeport Indians. Fred Persinger and Dave Jecklin will manage the call by tuning in on your radio or by visiting the Bridgeport Sports Radio App.

There will be more coverage regarding to the Indians on the radio side of things. According to Travis Jones, the “Voice of the Indians,” they will be hosting a pre-game special until the noon kickoff starting at 11 a.m. It will also be on 103.3 FM.

The game features the No. 3 seed and 13-0 Indians against the No. 4 seed and 13-0 Huskies. The game will be played at Charleston's Laidley Field.

It is the second matchup between the two schools, both of which occurred in the postseason. Herbert Hoover upended BHS 13-6 in 2002 in the opening round of the Class AA playoffs in 2002.
