Several New Retail Establishments, Including a Few that are Regulars, Open Shop at Mall for the Holidays

By Jeff Toquinto on December 10, 2024

There are several new stores that have opened at Meadowbrook Mall just in time for the holidays. And, it should be noted, they won’t be staying around for too much longer after the holidays.

Once again, Bridgeport’s retail hub has seen several seasonal businesses open up shop for the Christmas season.

Noah Levy, the Meadowbrook Mall Marketing Director, said there are five new shops, including at least one many are familiar with. One, in fact, has been opening up at Christmas for decades – Hickory Farms.

Hickory Farms is open across from JD Sports at the mall. Hickory Farms, which first opened in 1951, is a specialty food company that sells gift boxes, baskets, chocolates, wine, and charcuterie. It is also well known for its famous beef sticks and other meats and cheeses.

“When Hickory Farms opens up, that’s the first sign the holiday season is at hand,” said Levy. “They are a hometown favorite.”

Others are also in place. One that is definitely holiday themed is Deck The Tree. It is an ornament kiosk(s) open near Meadowbrook Mall Center Court.

Another regular is also back. Go! Calendars & Games are set up and ready to do business. They are located across from American Eagle.

Also set up is Prédiré Paris. Levy said they are offering items along the fragrance genre.

“You can find perfumes, bath and body items, as well as skin care items,” said Levy of the business hosted in a kiosk across from Books-A-Million.

Native Crafts also has items to meet your holiday shopping needs. Levy said the business is offering handmade jackets, ponchos, blankets, charms, and more. They are located next to Spencer’s and across from Books-A-Million.

“They’re all doing really well … People are already excited about the holiday shopping season, and we’re thrilled to welcome the businesses and all of our shoppers to Meadowbrook Mall,” said Levy.
