Fresh off a win a win at Stonewall in Lewis County and an early appearance at the site of the Class AAA Region I match at Williams Country Club in the northern panhandle, the BHS golf team is on the road this entire week.
The Indians finished with a team score of 190 to defeat Notre Dame (207) and Lewis County (236) last week with Connor Messe and Mitchell Duez leading the way with each finishing with a score of 46.
Marra Johnson shot a 48 and Josh Gervais added a 50 to round out the scoring for the Indians.
Notre Dame’s Anthony Rodgers was the low medalist with a 40.
At Williams Country Club, home course for Brooke High School, Gervais had the top score for the Indians with an 88. Duez was right behind at 89, while Messe and Drew Hogue each shot a 97.
Johnson added a 98, while Joseph Goddard finished with a 108.
Johnson and McKayla Friel are both competing in the girls state championship match today in Wirt County.
The Indians are also scheduled to play at Preston Country Club today and Green Hillls Country Club (North Marion’s home course) on Wednesday.
