Lewis County Fair Announces 2023 Event is Canceled

According to a post on their social media platform Facebook, the Lewis County Fair will not be taking place in 2023.
The post states that organizers made the “difficult decision” to cancel it this year. They emphasized in their post that the fair is “not dissolving but is taking time to find a new fair location.”
In the same post, the organizers say they will be holding fundraising events throughout the year. They are also asking for individuals to get involved.
The fair looked to be in good standing when it returned in 2021 and held again last year – both events at West Virginia University’s Jackson’s Mill. The two-year run came after it had not taken place for four years.
