Local Man Killed in Wood County Workplace Accident

According to WDTV, a local 23-year-old man was killed in a workplace accident in Wood County.
Andrew Davis, of Lewis County, was critically injured on a Helmerich & Payne rig on June 8th at approximately 9:40 p.m., officials said.
Davis was transported to a local medical facility, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
“We are deeply saddened by this loss, and our thoughts are with his family, friend, and coworkers during the incredibly difficult time,” Helmerich & Payne Vice President Stephanie Higgins said in a statement to 5 News.
Higgins declined to release any additional details and said the company’s focus right now is on the family, their crews and the people impacted by the incident.
