Man Charged with Murder Resulting from 2021 Assault

WBOY is reporting that a man has been charged with murder in connection to an assault in July of 2021 in Marion County.
According to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office, on July 10, Dorian Clay allegedly assaulted Gregory Lamb in an attempt to take his car keys; after the incident, Clay fled and was not discovered

Eight days after the incident, Lamb died as a result of injuries inflicted by Clay; a week after Lamb’s death, an officer located Clay who drew a firearm on the officer but discarded it without incident, the prosecutor’s office states.
At that time, Clay was found with drugs on his person and was charged from that incident, as well as receiving an unlawful assault charge from the incident with Lamb, according to the prosecutor’s office.
