The No. 17 West Virginia women's basketball team closed out its regular season campaign in dominating fashion, racing past Cincinnati 118-60, on senior day inside Hope Coliseum on Sunday.
The 118 points are the highest all-time in a Big 12 conference game and are the second-most points scored in program history. The Mountaineers also knocked down the third-most three-pointers in a game with 15 and shot a season-high 58.3% from the floor. WVU only committed four turnovers in the game to match a program game low.
The Mountaineers will kick off the tournament with their first game on Friday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. ET. It marks the third time in program history that WVU has been the No. 2 seed, as WVU holds a 4-2 record with the seed.
The tournament is scheduled to run from March 4-9 inside the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
