Family Game Night - Quartz / Pandemic

Remember having family nights when you were a kid? Everyone gathered around the table playing a game of Monopoly or Scrabble. Come join the WV Nerd Herd as we offer that same experience but with more modern board games such as Ticket to Ride and Carcassonne.

We’ll be offering two different games each night where one game will be a gateway game and one will be an advanced game. Neither game will take more than 1.5 to 2 hours. This will allow your family to be able to go home in plenty of time for bed. Best of all this event is free and open to the public. This week’s games are Quartz and Pandemic. Quartz is a competitive press your luck game where players take turns drawing gems from a bag. Be careful though, as you do not want to draw two black gems because that means you are out for the round and will get no money. Try to collect as many different gems as possible. At the end of the round, players can sell off their gems. The player with the most money wins at the end of three rounds. This game is for ages 8+ and takes about 1 hour to play. Pandemic is a cooperative game where 2-4 players will be working together to stop the spread of four diseases and find their cures. This game is for ages 10+ and takes about 1 hour to play.
