Although business is solid as most storefronts are occupied, Meadowbrook Mall recently saw one of its entities depart.
The Bridgeport Finance Department confirmed that water services were recently shut down for a restaurant in the food court on July 1, and the spot it once occupied is now vacant. The business in question was Aboo’s Burger.
As one might expect, the restaurant’s specialty was its hamburgers. However, it had plenty more on the menu. The menu also featured plenty of appetizers including fries and cheese fries, fried ravioli, chicken wings, onion rings, and more.
They also offered a wrapped called a Shawarma in both beef and chicken. Although it features toppings such as lettuce and tomatoes, it is known for meat usually being placed on a vertical and grilled for hours, after which it is cut into thin slices.
It was located in the spot that formerly hosted Miskycha and most recently was home to Rock N Roll Rolled Ice Cream. Miskycha relocated to Charles Pointe.
And although unable to confirm, Aboo’s may have relocated to Wood County and the Parkersburg area.
The business opened in June of 2023. Abdul Mohamed was the owner.
