The second in the series When I Am in your Arms (I feel God's love) will be released this summer. Charlotte won Tales2Inspire, a national short story contest, for her story "Becoming Grandmother." It is published in their Topaz Collection. She has also published in "Life Matters," the state pro-life newspaper, and in the online magazine, Harpstring. About His Brother’s Wife by Charlotte S. Snead Is Angelique a gold-digger—or an angel? Jonathan is determined to find out. When David Carter, a wounded war veteran, is gunned down in the streets of Washington, D.C., his twin brother, Jonathan, loses his best friend. Convinced that the Army nurse David met at the rehabilitation hospital and recently married is only after the Manhattan Carters’ wealth and power, Jonathan charges into Angie’s office at Walter Reed to deny her the estate…only to find out that David hid his family’s origins from her. The sister-in-law Jonathan had refused to meet for months confounds his expectations. Frail, beautiful, blonde Angie claims she wants nothing to do with the notoriety of her husband’s prominent family. But Jonathan is determined to fulfill his twin’s last request—to care for his wife—which now includes an unborn child. As their two worlds collide, and the media is stirred into a feeding frenzy, Jonathan’s heart is stirred by unexplainable longings for home and family. But will his twin’s lovely widow ever be able to see him without seeing his brother? Source: http://charlottesreaders.com/my-books/about-books/ About Invisible Wounds by Charlotte S. Snead He seems like the man of her dreams, but she, of all people, knows looks can be deceiving. Dare she trust again? Major Lisa Newcomb is a talented, well-respected doctor who worked for years at Walter Reed. Now that her friends Angie and Jonathan Carter have The David W. Carter Rehabilitation Center for wounded warriors up and running on their farm, Lisa decides to begin a practice near her best friend and the children who mean so much to her. But she doesn’t bargain on running smack into the intriguing retired Marine Colonel recently hired by the Center. Widowed chaplain Bill Robinson is stunned by Lisa, a 5’9” slender beauty whose hazel eyes with gold flecks draw him like no one ever has. Could she be the answer to his longing for a deeper connection? When a farm accident draws the two closer together, sparks fly. But falling in love isn’t easy for a divorced doctor who has lived with a father and then a husband who betrayed her…a woman with invisible wounds just as real as the veterans with PTSD at the Center. Bill is determined to tear down the walls of suspicion one by one. But can his love and God’s bring healing and wholeness to a broken woman? A tender tale of courage, triumph, and lasting love in the most tragic of circumstances. Sequel to the beloved romance His Brother’s Wife. Snead Every time the hauntingly familiar mandolin song played on the radio, Missy’s heart was drawn toward it. It sounded like…but it couldn’t be, could it? All talented musician Ian O’Malley wants is to come home, to the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. But is it too late? How does a broken man reclaim the only woman he’s ever loved, the bitter son who sent him away, and the daughter of his heart? When her father calls Missy, a successful interior designer, after twenty years to proclaim he is free from the curse of alcohol that destroyed their family, she is afraid to hope. The memories of betrayal run too deep. But her husband, Tim, knows more than he’s telling about his mother-in-law’s desperate prayers for her long-lost husband. Could they together embrace Ian’s recovery and restore him to their family? But will Missy dare to trust the one who has broken so many promises? Whose lack of involvement in her life cost her more dearly than even he knows? His heartfelt song on the radio continues to draw her. Yet will her own love for music, and her deep love for her once-magical-in-her-eyes father be able to overcome the trauma of her fatherless teenage years, when she needed him so much?
