WV Hemophilia Walk

Join us on Saturday, October 17th for our very first annual West Virginia Hemophilia Walk! The Walk will be at the Waterfront Place Hotel Event Center on the beautiful Caperton Trail in Morgantown. Registration is at 8:30am and the Walk kicks off at 10:00am. You can participate as an individual or as a team to help raise money for family and friends with inherited bleeding disorders. Our goal is to raise $35,000 for the bleeding disorder community in West Virginia!

The Kids Fun Run kicks off the event as they race a half mile. The Kids Zone will feature bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals and Scooter the Clown of Ringling Bros. Circus fame. Immediately after the walk, help us celebrate our first West Virginia Hemophilia Walk with live music from Rob Lightner. Together, we can find a cure! Quick Facts About Hemophilia Hemophilia is a lifelong disease with no known cure. The medicine to treat someone with severe hemophilia can cost over $300,000 per year and can even reach $1 million. Bleeds are usually internal and can lead to permanent joint damage that is often crippling. Affected West Virginia families rely on WVNHF as a source of education, social support, advocacy and financial assistance to help ease the impact of a bleeding disorder. WVNHF provides grant funding to Camp HemoVon and Camp Winaca, which are summer camps for WV children with bleeding disorders and cancer.
